The Puppy Foundation Program is designed to teach your puppy five of the most important cues they’ll use throughout their life:

Sit • Down • Stay • Leave It • Come

​

But the goal isn’t simply for your puppy to perform commands.

​

The goal is to build communication, focus, patience, and trust while teaching you how to practice these skills successfully in everyday life.

WHAT WE’LL WORK ON

SIT
Teaching your puppy to sit when asked and use sitting as a calm alternative to jumping or demanding attention.

​

DOWN
Teaching your puppy to comfortably lie down and begin learning how to relax and settle.

​

STAY
Building patience and impulse control while gradually teaching your puppy to remain in place around everyday distractions.

​

LEAVE IT
Teaching your puppy to disengage from food, objects, smells, and other things they shouldn’t pick up, eat, or chase.

​

COME
Building a strong, positive recall so your puppy learns that coming back to you is always rewarding.

​

MORE THAN FIVE CUES

Throughout the program, we’ll also work on eye contact, focus, engagement, and communication — the skills that make everything else easier to teach.

​

You’ll learn when to reward, how to give clear cues, how to practice without overwhelming your puppy, and how to gradually introduce real-life distractions.

Training doesn’t end when our session ends.

​

A few minutes of consistent practice throughout the day can make a huge difference.

I’ll give you simple exercises to continue between sessions so these skills become part of your puppy’s everyday life.
